INITIAL LICENSE ACTIVATION AND ONBOARDING

We need to get you signed up with a brokerage and then signed up with the Association and MLS. If you are a commercial agent, you should consult your broker on what the best steps are for this process. Remember….. Items in Red must be done.

Please follow the step-by-step instructions on getting yourself set up and ready to hit the road. .

First please download the New Agent Checklist
Use this to check off items as completed.

 Get a Gmail address. 

This is the very first step. You must not use your personal email address. Let’s keep everything separate. This is your core address for your real estate administrative activities. The company may provide you with your own company email but still get another one dedicated to your business.

It should be something like marysmithrealtor@gmail.com or marysmithhomesales@gmail.com.. whatever is available, not too long though, and easy to say and be understood over the phone. No numbers or hyphens. Later on, we will get you your own domain name and you can use this if needed.

Make a note of the password.

At the same time you get this Gmail email address you will also get a Gdrive account. You will need to set this up on your computer as well.

 Return the Independent Contractor Agreement to broker  Form RE 11 and fill out and give it or email to the broker plus any other forms. 

Open up a new folder on Gdrive  ” Office Docs” Save a copy of your company docs you signed to this folder.

 Get a copy of the company policy manual and read it through.

Save this also to that folder in Gdrive.

GETTING SIGNED UP

 Check to see you are registered under company on DBPR Website.

 Go to Association and get signed up into the Association and MLS.

Make sure that you accept or deny the $20.00 voluntary RPAC contributon.

 Buy and sign up for a Supra app on your phone. You must have this if you are going to show homes. Get them to show you how to use it and test it on a box.

You dont need to buy a lockbox but you will need to sign up for a Supra Key App subscription.

 You might want to buy at least 1 Supra lockbox if you are ready to get a listing.

 Look for the welcome email you get from the Assoc and the MLS. Save both these to your Gdrive

 Check to see that you can sign into the MLS ok.

Learn your Username and password by heart.

 Check for other emails from the company with more information.

ASSOC AND MLS TRAINING SCHEDULE MANDATORY CLASSES

 Complete the Association orientation live or online classes. Check your emails from board.

 Complete the NAR Ethics training either online or in class.

 Complete the 4 mandatory courses online or in class. Basic MLS   Compliance

101,   Adding Editing Listings.    Ethics

Some or all of these can be done online. check with Assoc.

With all of the above done you are now ready to go.
